Edinburgh castle
Edinburgh Castle is a historic castle in Edinburgh, Scotland. It stands on Castle Rock, which has been occupied by humans since at least the Iron Age. There has been a royal castle on the rock since the reign of Malcolm III in the 11th century, and the castle continued to be a royal residence until 1633. note that it can be difficult to get tickets. they are time constraint also. We managed to get tickets on the same day by taking the hop on hop off bus and get a small discount and a time slot together with the ride.

Glamis Castle
Glamis has been the ancestral seat to the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne since King Robert II granted the Thanage of Glamis to Sir John Lyon in 1372. The Castle as we know it today was built from the 1400s and has been on a grand journey through Scottish history for over 650 years. Once host to Mary, Queen of Scots, Glamis is said to have inspired one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, Macbeth. Glamis also has a deep connection to today’s Royal Family as it was the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and birthplace of HRH Princess Margaret.
Glencoe
Glencoe or Glencoe Village (Gaelic: A’ Chàrnaich[2]) is the main settlement in Glen Coe in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands. It lies at the north-west end of the glen, on the southern bank of the River Coe where it enters Loch Leven (a salt-water loch off Loch Linnhe). The village falls within the Ross, Skye and Lochaber part of the Highland council area for local government purposes. It is part of the registration county of Argyll and the lieutenancy area of Inverness for ceremonial functions. The use of the term 'Glencoe Village' is a modern one, to differentiate the settlement from the glen itself.
Glenfinnan Viaduct
The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a railway viaduct on the West Highland Line at Glenfinnan, in the Lochaber district of north-western Scotland, built from 1897 to 1901. Located at the top of Loch Shiel in the West Scottish Highlands, the viaduct overlooks the Glenfinnan Monument and the waters of Loch Shiel. If you want to see the Jacobite train (the one used in Harry Potter), make sure you are on the right time. It will pass only 2 or 3 times a day!
Hesten hike
One of the very best views i have ever seen. On the Senja island you will find 2 hikes starting from Fjordgard: Hesten and Segla. You want to walk Hesten. It is the easier one and its the iconic view of Segla that you want to see.

Keukenhof
Keukenhof, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in the municipality of Lisse, in the Netherlands. According to the official website, Keukenhof Park covers an area of 32 hectares and approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted in the gardens annually. While it is widely known for its tulips, Keukenhof also features numerous other flowers, including hyacinths, daffodils, lilies, roses, carnations and irises.
Linlithgow Palace
The ruins of Linlithgow Palace are located in the town of Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, 15 miles (24 km) west of Edinburgh. The palace was one of the principal residences of the monarchs of Scotland in the 15th and 16th centuries. Although maintained after Scotland's monarchs left for England in 1603, the palace was little used, and was burned out in 1746.

Lofotmuseet
The Lofoten Museum is situated in an idyllic spot by the water’s edge, on the site of the medieval town of Vágar. The impressive manor house was completed in 1815, when Caspar Lorch was the owner of the fishing village. Here he traded and exported fish, as well as renting out cabins to the fishermen who came to join the winter season. There are also several boathouses with a large collection of traditional wooden boats to explore, as well as a charming “krambu”, or general store, and a lovely garden with historic perennials. Midhope Castle is a late 16th-century tower house in Scotland. It is situated in the hamlet of Abercorn on the Hopetoun estate, About 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the west of South Queensferry, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Henningsvær is a beautiful little place 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. From 23 May we have sun around the clock. At night, the sun is low and the light is at its most beautiful. With large rib boats, we go from Henningsvær and west through narrow straits out to the ocean on the outer side. This is where you can witness amazing view of the sun the best. We look out for sea eagles, puffins, and seals on the trip. If we're lucky, we'll also spot whales.

Ofoten bahn
The Ofoten line (“Ofotbanen”) stretches up to 43 kilometers from Narvik to the Swedish Border (Bjørnfjell), where it connects with the Swedish Ore Line (Malmbanan). Necessary to transport iron-ore from the mines in Kiruna to the ice-free port of Narvik, the construction of the trainline began in the late 19th century. By employing over 5000 “rallers” (skilled laborers), using innovative engineering techniques in order to cross the challenging mountain terrains, create bridges, tunnels and steep inclines, the Ofoten railway officially opened in 1902. Not long after, the line was of significant strategic importance during WWII: The Battle of Narvik in 1940 was fought in part to control the iron ore supply, vital for the war industry.
Paleis het Loo
Former royal palace in Apeldoorn, reopened after a large-scale renovation. Audio stories bring former residents such as William and Mary and Queen Wilhelmina to life. The formal gardens, the royal stables and the palace roof with views are part of the visit.
Puffin Safari
The puffin with it´s white breast and colourful beak is one of our most beautiful seabirds. For eight months it´s living way out on the open sea, far from the coast. In the middle of april, the pairs return to Bleiksøya for breeding. The nests are dug out into the ground. The puffin is monogam, has only one egg per season. The oldest ringmarked puffin found in Norway was 43 years old, average age is 25 – 30 years. They can dive as far as nearly hundred metres to catch fish, and can easily carry many fish in the beak at the same time.
Ryten hike
To the north, a late summer sun hangs low over calm waters of the Norwegian sea. Below, Kvalvika beach is illuminated in golden sunlight while a distant rainbow marks the recent passing of a light rain shower. Standing on the beach, Ryten appears as a massive cliff rising to a height of 543 meters directly from the sea. From above, the view back towards Kvalvika beach is one of the most spectacular to be found anywhere on the Lofoten Islands; it is worth making the hike up Ryten for nothing more than this view alone.
Scott monument
The Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It is the second-largest monument to a writer in the world after the José Martí monument in Havana. It stands in Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh, opposite the former Jenners building on Princes Street and near Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, which is named after Scott's Waverley novels.
