About this pass
Provincial Road 38 della Forra (SP 38),[1] is a provincial road that runs through the province of Brescia and connects the SS45 bis, with a detour shortly after the Punta Forbisicle-Campione tunnel, and the municipality of Tremosine, on Lake Garda.
Route
The panoramic road begins from a detour on the SS45 bis Gardesana Occidentale after a tunnel, past the center of Campione del Garda, and climbs, with a difference in altitude of approximately 200 m, to Pieve di Tremosine. It has been called "the most beautiful road in the world."[2]
Depending on the time of year, the road is only passable uphill and during specific times.[3]
